Chart notes
THRILLA stalked along the inside, then in the two path around the turn, took aim outside of the leader turning for home, ranged up to bid in upper stretch, forged an advantage shifting out at the furlong grounds and inched clear. OUR FAVORITE SON showed the way with a clear advantage, but was collared by an outer rival in upper stretch, got headed at the furlong grounds, yet kept on and held place. SHOOT THE NICKEL raced off of the pace just off of the inside, took contact from an outer rival nearing the lane, yet launched a rally in upper stretch, gained show from an outer rival while moving to the four path at the three sixteenths pole and ran on willingly. TOWNER TOO broke a step slow, chased from midpack in the three to four path, gained show entering upper stretch but got outkicked by an inner rival while floating to the five path at the three sixteenths pole. MR. WALLBANGER raced off of the pace in the four path, drifted inwardly and brushed a rival approaching the lane, swung out to the five path entering it and failed to factor. ALLIED COMMANDER broke awkwardly, trailed in the three to four path and made little impact. CARAMBASO stalked in the two to three path and faded turning for home.
