LA NINA DORADA set the pace inside of a single outer vying rival early on, then inside of a trio of foes as an outer pair attempted bids turning for home, gamely clung to an advantage while sparring with her most immediate counterpart into the final furlong, but was outkicked by an wider bidder in the closing stages and held place. FROM SCRATCH vied two wide, then between horses around the turn, sustained the battle with the inner leader through midstretch, but was outkicked by an outer challenger in the final sixteenth and was denied place. LA FORET stalked four deep, offered a mild bid outside of the leaders turning for home, but yielded while floating five wide into the lane, got outkicked by an inner rival in upper stretch and chased the main group home. BEADS pursued from the three path and failed to factor. TWIRLING GOOD TIME pressed three wide and between horses, bid along with an outer rival turning for home, but failed to sustain that challenge while drifting four wide into the lane and faded. AZTEC EMPRESS chased along the inside, but faltered while attempting to lug out into the turn, bore to the outer half while lagging behind around the bend, then was eased and pulled up in midstretch before walking off.
