Chart notes
SACRED CONNECTION veered in at the start, was allowed to settle, stalked the pace through the far turn, rallied four wide under mild right handed urging to gain a narrow advantage in the final stages and proved best under brisk handling. BATTLE TESTED pressed the pace two wide into the far turn, gained a narrow lead near the five sixteenths marker, dueled the balance of the trip and finished second best inside the winner. KANTBACKOFF set the pace two wide then along the inside into the far turn, was headed after five furlongs, dug in gamely to match strides for the lead until late stretch then was outfinished. TORREY STREET vied for the lead along the inside into the far turn, shifted out three wide, loomed boldly nearing the quarter pole then faded late. I FEEL THE NEED failed to menace. BAND OF ROSES was antsy in the gate then failed to reach contention. BIG JAVA was no threat.
