Chart notes
WAR CHEST sat off the pace on the inside, had to wait behind rivals on the far turn, gained a clear path and was ridden along into the lane, closed in up the fence, then went between rivals in deep stretch and got up late. COASTAL WATERS tracked from inside out of range, chased two wide into the lane, moved out in the drive, put a head in front in deep stretch but got outkicked by the winner. ITS A BOY settled in the early stages on the inside, moved off the rail on the backstretch, traveled three deep on the far turn, moved out further in the lane, rallied from outside but got outclosed by the top pair. FLINT STROLL was closest in pursuit of the lone speed from the two path to the top of the lane, chased within striking distance down the stretch but could not summon the needed late kick. ORTH sped clear and steered across to the inside, controlled the pace up the backstretch, remained clear to the eighth pole, lost command with a sixteenth remaining and weakened late. FLY NIGHTLY unhurried from outside, angled down to the two path, spun three wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. LESLIE CHOW was off slow from inside, traveled outside a rival at the back and was never a factor. PEPPER JACK tracked two wide out of range early, remained two wide to the stretch and failed to rally. MONTANA tucked inside at the back, saved ground to the stretch and failed to make an impact.
