TETHERED SOUL disputed the pace racing along the inner rail, drifted to the two path entering the stretch, dug in tenaciously and edged clear late. FORTY LOVE bore out leaving the starting gate, lightly bumping FREE DANCE soon after the break, stalked the pace three deep around the turn, floated to the four path in upper stretch, had aim on the lead in mid stretch and hung. NEVER TILL NOW stalked the pace behind horses around the turn, was taken to the inner rail at the head of the stretch, lightly steadied in narrow quarters near the eighth pole and finished gamely. FREE DANCE drifted out leaving the starting gate, was lightly bumped by FORTY LOVE soon after the break, circled the turn four wide, was fanned five wide turning for home and flattened out. ECUMENICAL disputed the pace outside TETHERED SOUL and gave way the final furlong. An objection by the rider of FREE DANCE against FORTY LOVE for alleged interference leaving the starting gate was not allowed. Race was run for purse money only.
