Chart notes
WEST COAST SONG reserved off the pace for the first half mile under patient handling, circled four wide on the turn to steadily advance to the lead at the quarter pole and drew off in the lane unchallenged as much the best. SAND WEDGE was in tight quarters along the rail through the first turn, settled just off the leaders stalking along the inside down the backside, waited for racing room briefly on the final bend and finished willingly as second best. TOVIA set the pace on a well measured lead for five-eighths, had no answer for the winner when challenged turning for home and kept-on through the lane as best of the rest. WELLOILEDCAT was slpw early to be the distant trailer for five-eights of a mile and showed some late interest passing weaker rivals in the lane. GRACE IN EXCESS raced wide into the first turn to race up to prompt the pace for a half mile and faded coming home. MOONSHINING showed brief speed to be forwardly placed through the first turn, dropped to the rear of the main body of the field on the backstretch and gave way turning for home.
