Chart notes
LUCKY BURGLAR got bumped by ROCKY BAY RAE at the break but made the lead before the half without really being asked, maintained a length lead through the turn then responded to steady handling in the stretch and won clear. LOTSA LACE hustled to get forward position then settled mid-pack of the pace, came two wide into the stretch and could not catch the winner but was well clear of the third horse. ROCKY BAY RAE broke out and bumped LUCKY BURGLAR, dropped far behind the field down the backstretch, saved ground through the turn and was kept to task and picked off some rivals with mild late interest. VERONICA'S DELIGHT go floated out a couple of paths after the start then angled over to the two path for the run through the turn but was unable to summon a late bid. STORMYLUX was hustled from the break and led the way in the initial stages, was overtaken for the lead by LUCKY BURGLAR passing the half-mile marker while having to be ridden to keep up then was not a factor from that point. NORTH EAST STAR (IRE) veered out some after the start floating VERNOICA'S DELIGHT outward, then went five wide down the backstretch then three wide through the turn and into the stretch and could not threaten.
