Chart notes
BOURBON AND ICE had speed from the start while racing two wide, dropped inside midway on the turn, rallied along the rail under right handed urging to gain a narrow advantage inside the furlong marker and proved best under strong handling while fully extended. STEALTHTHIRTYFOUR set the pace in the two path into the stretch, dug in gamely when headed by the winner in the late stages but finished second best. VERSATILE close up along the inside, steadied behind the winner nearing the quarter pole, dropped back then passed tiring rivals through upper stretch for a minor share. THE COACHMAN pressed the pace two wide into the stretch then weakened. MONTAUK COVE was a forward factor three wide into the turn then weakened approaching the top of the stretch. C J ALL THE WAY moved up four wide in the turn then came up empty. THE RIDER OF VERSATILE LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE ON THE TURN. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION.
