Chart notes
BOOTS MALONE sprinted to the lead soon after the start, set all the pace while getting quick fractions and widened through the stretch to win as much the best under a strong hand ride. SUPERWOLF bore in bumping ROMANIAN PRINCE into GOLDSTRIKER at the start, stalked the pace into the stretch, had a mild late rally in the four path and finished well clear for second. FOURDATESFORHOCO chased the winner into the stretch then faded in the three path. ROMANIAN PRINCE was bumped at the start and went evenly. IRONCLAD ALIBI was no threat. ORFANO was no factor. GOLDSTRIKER also bumped at the start, was outrun. GRAY DAY stumbled at the start and was never a threat.
