Chart notes
MISSISSIPPI MAN set the pace along the inside and drew off under moderate urging. LEMON SOHN stalked along the inside, shifted three wide into the turn, gained place at the furlong grounds and chased the leader home. SOMEKINDA MISCHIEF pressed two wide and outside of the eventual winner, but gave way in upper stretch then lasted for show. RAISING KANE tracked from midpack in the three path, chased in the four path and between rivals into the lane, pursued and missed show. GRAND ACADEMIC trailed in teh five path, advanced position around the turn, then failed to menace while hanging on his left lead until the sixteenth pole. FLICK broke slowly, pulled along the inside, steadied behind rivals leaving the half mile pole, then saved ground off of the pace but to no avail. OLIVERIO broke slowly, raced off of the pace in the three path and got outrun.
