Chart notes
STORM BAYOU tracked the early pace three deep and between runners, chased four wide into the turn, loomed into upper stretch then vied for the lead nearing the furlong marker, took command at mid-stretch then drew clear in the late stages. AMERICAN SOLO allowed to settle, saved ground into the turn, swung three wide for the stretch drive, closed well into the final sixteenth, could not impact the winner late and was a clear second best. INDY'S SONG broke awkwardly and was off a bit slowly, recovered and tracked the early pace from outside of runners, chased four to five wide into upper stretch and made a steady gain to the furlong grounds, was outkicked into the final sixteenth and stayed on late to earn the show honors. LONZO WHO close up to the early pace, chased three wide nearing the quarter marker, lost position at mid-stretch, weakened in the final sixteenth and was outfinished for the show. WHEREDOESTHECASHGO showed good early speed, set the pace to the turn and carved out solid fractions nearing the quarter pole, battled into upper stretch, was overtaken at the furlong grounds and gave way in the final sixteenth. MUSICS MY VICE allowed to settle away from the start, saved ground into the turn, chased two wide into upper stretch then could not muster the needed late response. GOLDEN MERGER a step slow to begin, was void of early speed and trailed to the turn, lacked a response in the stretch and did not factor late. TRUST MANDO settled off of the early pace then rushed up to stalk from inside of runners heading to the turn, was well placed into the bend, could not keep pace into upper stretch then tired in the final furlong.
