Chart notes
HEY BERTIE was reserved off the early pace racing along the inside, angled out to be three-wide entering the stretch and finished strongly to be up in the final sixteenth. BET TOWINIT saved ground setting the pace, responded when asked but was unable to resist the winner late in a game effort. AFTERNOON DIVA prompted BET TOWINIT from along the outside into the stretch and held on well for third. FLIRTING WITH TIME was prominently placed while racing along the inside but lacked the needed late response. MASCARA saved ground while being unhurried early, slipped through during the drive and was gaining late. FUNNY LADY broke in to bump with CARSON BAY then was allowed to settle, rallied four-wide into the stretch but was unable to seriously threaten. GATA BRAZIL was allowed to settle, rallied five-wide into the stretch and weakened late. MRS. MENDELSSOHN raced in the middle of the pack early, came three-wide into the stretch and failed to be a factor,. FINE FINISH was unhurried early, came six-wide into the stretch and failed to menace. LIKELY PERSPECTIVE (IRE) raced in the middle of the pace early, was in tight nearing the three-eighths pole and tired. CARSON BAY settled in the middle of the pack, steadied from between horses nearing the three-eighths pole and gave way.
