CROWN MAGIC lacked early quickness from the gate, tucked inside at the back, passed a rival at the midway point, was on the move picking off rivals from the fence on the far turn, angled out but ran into traffic at the quarter pole, gained a clear path in the lane and closed in under left handed urging, fought on even terms with outer rivals entering the last sixteenth and outdueled KINGMEISTER in the end. KINGMEISTER tracked in the two path around the first turn, bid three deep past the half-mile pole, vied three wide through the far turn, led into the stretch, fought inside AURELIAN MAN into the final furlong, lost command midstretch, battled back in final sixteenth but got outgamed by CROWN MAGIC late. AURELIAN MAN tracked along the fence then a bit off the rail around the first turn, continued along the inside into the far turn, angled out and bid four deep with a quarter mile left to run, put a head in front midstretch but flattened out late. IMPOSSIBLE TASK showed early foot near the inside then took a stalking position behind the leader, was ridden along two then three wide on the far turn and lacked a bid when called upon. LETSHAVEONEMORE showed early foot three then two wide on the first turn, pressed the pace from outside in the middle stages, vied for command between rivals leaving the backstretch and around the far turn, fought to upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. CHIEF WILD EAGLE raced outside a rival towards the rear, went three wide into the far turn, moved down to the two path, steered out and came four wide into the lane and proved no menace. OOBUBBAKAKAYO grabbed the earl lead in the two path then moved inside on the first turn, set a pressured pace up the backstretch, fought inside a pair of rivals around the far turn, yielded in upper stretch and gave way. MOTHER'S PRAYER chased in the four then three path early, was coaxed along out of range in the middle stages, dropped back four wide on the far turn, eased in the lane and walked off. OLD TRIANGLE traveled along the inside off the pace, trailed past the half-mile pole, saved ground to the stretch and came up empty.
