Chart notes
JUST PLAIN ORNERY set a pressured early pace along the inside and drew off to be well clear under strong handling. NORTHWIND dropped back to race mid pack early, made an inside bid around the far turn through the stretch and rallied up for the place position. BACK BAYOU stalked the pace, raced four wide into the upper stretch and had not enough. GRAN CHICO reared at the break, trailed early on after the poor start, saved ground and never was a serious threat. BLUEGRASS BREEZE settled off the early pace, raced five wide near the three sixteenths pole, exchanged bumps through the upper stretch and was even. FOREVER COOL dropped back early, raced four wide near the three sixteenths pole, bumped through the upper stretch and had no late rally. MAGNET AND STEEL pressed the early leader two deep from the outside and was empty the final eighth of a mile. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
