Chart notes
COOL GUITAR showed the way along the inside, built a clear advantage approaching the three furlong pole then drew off under a drive. LOST DA VINCI broke a step slow, trailed while tucking to the three path into the turn, quickly progressed turning for home to circle rivals five wide entering the lane, gained place at the three sixteenths pole, but was no match for the leader and proved second best. DOOLGAROUX tracked two wide and between horses, bumped an inner foe while chasing into the lane, bumped that one again at the three sixteenths pole, vied for show with his inner counterpart through midstretch and edged ahead. HUDSON'S DAY chased along the inside, was bumped by an outer rival into tight rail quarters entering the lane, took contact from that one again and was almost forced to bump the rail at the three sixteenths pole, vied for show into the final furlong but yielded late. QUEEN'S KNIGHT prompted outside of the eventual winner and from the three path early on, chased after failing to sustain pressure into the turn, then faded between horses entering the lane. GIBSON chased four wide, then faded between horses at the head of the lane.
