Chart notes
AUGER was well-placed stalking outside, made a swift advance to challenge for the lead three furlongs out, dueled till mid-stretch, took command and forged clear. AWESOME PRINCE pressed the early pace, bid between runners at the three-eighths, dueled inside the eventual winner till mid-stretch and yielded but was second best. LITIGANT set the early pace off the inside, was challenged into the turn, asked to keep up three furlongs out but began to drop back off the pair of outside foes, shifted outside those leaving the turn coming into upper stretch about five deep, ran on evenly thereafter. AZURE SKY chased in behind and outside, was ridden along three wide on the turn, fanned six deep turning for home, failed to menace. DESANTIS was relatively close early but soon dropped back, forced outside four wide on the turn coming seven wide out of that bend, was never near enough to threaten. NORFIE chased inside on or just off the rail and was unable to threaten. WOKE UP IN LOVE lacked early speed despite some encouragement, saved some ground on the turn, swung out four to five wide coming out of that bend and was not a factor.
