Chart notes
FREEDOM ROAD dueled between horses up the backstretch, continued to battle from the four path around the turn and dug in gamely in the lane to just hold the win. MORGAN POINT dueled on the inside through the opening quarter, battled from the three path around the bend and dug in gamely to the wire to just miss. AWESOME TRAIN trailed the field up the backstretch, came around the turn in the three path, began a bid entering the stretch and improved position from there. BOLD ADVANCE pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, dropped back to chase the frontrunners from the four path around the turn and weakened further in the stretch. PHILHARMONIC chased the leader on the outside early, dropped back while racing in the two path around the turn and continued to tire in the lane. GRAND TOWER raced off the pace up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and made no bid.
