Chart notes
MAGICAL MONARCH set a pressured pace throughout, dug-in gamely from three wide down the lane to battle the length of the lane and prevailed in the final strides in a determined effort. THRU THE VINE raced up the fence leaving the first turn to press the pace down the backside, continued to press to the head of the lane, cut the corner to duel through the lane from the rail to draw even in the final fifty yards and was out-nodded at the wire. ATKINS unhurried for the first half mile to be the trailer, rallied on the turn five wide to be prominent turning for home and steadily inched closer down the lane coming up just short at the line in a good try. DR JACK FLYER stalked the pace to the far turn to be well placed and weakened midway on the bend. ONE TEN tracked the pace down the backside, rallied on the turn to loom and flattned out in upper stretch unable to sustain the rally.
