Chart notes
ALWAYS LAUGHING set the pace on the inside and was well handled, sent down leaving the turn and drew off to prove much the best while being kept to pressure. LA MACCHINA ROSSA lunged at the break, moved out to chased the pace on the outside on the first turn, moved in and was two wide on the far turn and proved to be no match for the winner while clearly second best. EXTREMELY GRUNTLED had an awkward break, recovered and prompted the pace three wide and was ridden along on the far turn but weakened in the lane, while regaining the show award. AFRICAN ANGEL was allowed to settle on the inside, moved out on the far turn and came six wide into the lane while advancing but drifted out in the final furlong and flattened out to lose the show award late. SHIGEKO chased the pace on the inside and tired. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
