Chart notes
STONEHENGE showed good early speed away from the start, engaged GANGSTER and disputed the decent pace inside of that runner heading to the turn, shook free into upper stretch, kept to task through the lane and held clearly in the late stages. KNOCK KNOCK JOKE tracked the early pace from outside of runners, loomed four wide nearing the quarter marker, was repelled by STONEHENGE into upper stretch, chased the winner to the final sixteenth, could not muster a late response and won the head nod for the place. MICKSWAGGER tracked the early pace from inside of runners, saved ground to the turn and advanced nearing the quarter marker, maintained an inside path to the stretch, needed more into the lane but stayed on into the final sixteenth and just missed for the place, while well clear of the rest for the show. I GOT THE MOVES tracked the early pace from between runners, chased two to three wide and between runners into the turn, angled out for the stretch drive then was erratic while drifting out under right handed urging and gave way in the final furlong. ESKIMO CHARLIE ducked in at the start and broke slowly, spotted the field to begin and trailed into the turn, chased four to five wide into upper stretch then did not factor in the stretch drive. GANGSTER hustled to contest the early pace, dueled STONEHENGE to the turn then pressed the pace outside of that runner and three wide nearing the quarter pole, lost position into the stretch and faded in the final furlong.
