Chart notes
TRUCKIN allowed to settle in the early going, improved position outside of rivals along the turn, rallied five wide into upper stretch then closed determinedly into the final sixteenth, wore down the runner-up in the final strides and got up in time for the win at the wire. ONEFORTHEDITCH tracked the early pace from outside of runners, pressed the pace three wide nearing the quarter marker then took command into upper stretch, drifted out while leading nearing the furlong grounds then dug in while leading entering the final sixteenth, met the bid of the oncoming TRUCKIN in deep stretch and just missed for the win at the wire, while holding safely for the place. ELIGIO tracked the early pace from inside of runners, shifted off of the rail then chased two wide nearing the quarter marker, ran in pursuit into the stretch, could not reel in the top pair late but was gaining in deep stretch and was clear of the rest for the show. COMPELLING UNCLE hustled in the early stages, went up and pressed the pace two wide and between runners into the turn, disputed the pace to the quarter marker, lost position into upper stretch, chased to the furlong marker then weakened in the final sixteenth. SMARTIER prominent early, disputed the pace inside of rivals heading to the half-mile pole, lost position into the turn then chased from the rail nearing the quarter marker, checked while in tight nearing the top of the lane, shifted three wide for the drive then lacked the needed late response. BLUE OCEAN RAVE hustled to vie for the early lead, assumed a narrow advantage and disputed the decent pace into the turn, pressed the pace from the inside nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace into upper stretch then faded through the lane.
