Chart notes
BAROSSA tracked the early pace three wide into the first turn, well placed through the backstretch run, made a quick move while three wide to take command at the quarter marker, kicked clear into the stretch, kept to task while drawing away into the final sixteenth then was hand urged to the wire to win as much the best. MCGEORGE settled while never far back in the early going, was guided four wide into the first turn, tracked the solid pace up the backstretch, chased four wide into the second turn, was no match for the winner into the stretch drive but stayed on well late to best the rest. GRAZEN BOY attended to the solid pace from outside of BETTOR TRIP NICK, stalked the pacesetter into the far turn, weakened in the stretch drive but stayed on in the late stages and just held for the show. NORTHERN QUEST settled two wide into the first turn, unhurried up the backstretch, chased two to three wide to the quarter pole, spun four to five wide into upper stretch, mounted a mild late rally and just missed for the show. WIN WORTHY a bit slow into stride away from the start, saved ground while trailing along the backstretch, chased two wide to upper stretch and passed tiring rivals in the late stages. BETTOR TRIP NICK sent to assume early command, set a solid pace heading to the half-mile pole, came under pressure into the second turn then was overtaken at the quarter marker, chased the winner into the stretch then faded in the late stages. HAM SANDWICH settled between runners into the first turn, unhurried up the backstretch, saved ground to the second turn then did not factor in the stretch drive. LET THERE BE PEACE settled three to four wide into the first turn, unhurried while widest up the backstretch, advanced three to four wide into the far turn, could not sustain that run into the stretch and tired in the final furlong. PER RULING #ECM2025-115 FROM HIWU, BAROSSA WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST TO UNPLACED DUE TO A MEDICATION VIOLATION.
