Chart notes
DELTA FRONT stalked the speed duel three wide then took command leaving the quarter pole, opened up in the stretch and held sway under steady handling. AUSTIN'S MAP broke well and dueled outside of BLAME DENNIS through the early stages, tried to kick on when confronted by DELTA FRONT near the quarter pole, could not go with that one, appeared in danger of being passed for second in the final furlong but came back under strong handling and urging. HI PLAINS HUNK tracked two deep mid-pack early then launched a bid from the three furlong pole, had good momentum into the stretch then went a bit flat late and lost a chance for the place. BLAME DENNIS broke well and immediately engaged with AUSTIN'S MAP for the early lead, dueled inside through the turn, gave way passing the quarter pole and tired in the stretch. CAUSE IM THE KING was slow to begin and spotted the field a head start, got over to the rail, then went two wide around a tiring TEXAS LONE STAR late on the turn but could not make an impact despite constant left handed urging. TEXAS LONE STAR tracked mid-pack inside, started to weaken after passing the half-mile marker and was not a factor in the late stages.
