DREAM SEQ tucked in two wide behind the trio contesting the lead into the first turn, moved to the rail near the thirteen-sixteenths pole but caused RB FASHIONISTA to clip heels, pulled to the lead on the backstretch, came into the stretch a length clear then widened late. WMA BIG BABY was not asked for speed and settled at the rear of the main pack, steadied to avoid the incident late on the first turn, made a four wide bid into the turn, had trouble changing leads but finished best of the rest to gain second. TM PURNCESS was prompted from the start to get forward position, went three wide through the first turn stalked three wide down the backstretch, was asked in earnest passing the quarter pole and finished willingly under steady handling and intermittent urging. AA SWEET VICTORY got away well and vied for the lead through the first bend, turned on to the backstretch contesting the issue between horses, settled into a stalking position to the outside of DREAM SEQ through the far turn then finished evenly through the stretch. MASQUERADESOBIA settled mid-pack from the start, went three wide through the first turn then steered wide late on the turn to avoid the incident to the inside, tried to launch a three wide bid on the far turn but lacked a finish. RB FASHIONISTA settled mid-pack inside, clipped heels when DREAM SEQ took the path turning onto the backstretch, recovered then saved ground the rest of the strip but was unable to threaten late. AA BURNING ASH was unhurried from the break and moved to the rail before the first turn, languished at the rear, far behind the rest of the field, made a late run to regain contact but was never a threat. RB DANCE PARTY hustled from the start then was rank and hard to place through the first turn, was taken to the outside in the clear, went wide through the far turn and stopped. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT ON THE FIRST TURN AND THE JOCKEY ON #1 RB FASHIONISTA ALSO LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #8 DREAM SEQ ALLEGING INTERFERENCE FOR THAT SAME INCIDENT. AFTER A LENGTHY REVIEW THE OBJECTION WAS UPHELD AND #8 DREAM SEQ WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED 6TH.
