Chart notes
CODY BOY stalked the top pair in the early going, followed in the two path then along the rail around the bend, launched a bid from the fence in upper stretch, put a head in front at the eighth pole and drove clear. PRATCHETT stalked the dueling leaders from off the rail, bid three deep around the turn, fought to midstretch, could not kick on with the winner entering deep stretch but was able to win the duel for second. P TWENTYTWO dueled from inside, fought inside a pair of rivals into the lane, relinquished the lead at the eighth pole and got edged for second. SPIRITIST duel outside P TWENTYTWO up the backstretch, fought between horses turning for home, lost a clear path in upper stretch, flattened in the late stages but was able to secure a minor award. BIG SPLASH raced near the back well off the rail, took the turn four then five wide and lacked further response. MENDELSSOHNS MUSIC chased four wide into the turn, fell out of range around the bend, entered the stretch in the three path and weakened. BUCKORTWO raced outside a rival at the back of the pack into the turn, traveled in the three then two path around the bend and was never a factor. UPLIFT saved ground at the back of the field and could not make an impact.
