Chart notes
SAMMY AND SHORTY never far back, closed fast outside rivals under a strong hand ride and got up in the final strides. FROSTY PAWS pressed the pace four then two wide through the turn, made the lead at the top of the stretch, set the balance of the pace and just missed hanging on. SWING STATE saved ground and finished determinedly along the rail. FALK trailed outside, entering the stretch five wide, altered course three wide past the furlong marker and was steadily gaining ground late. KINDERHOOK pressed the early pace two wide, dropped back a bit on the turn then finished evenly while four wide. MEDIA DARLING away alertly, set a pressured pace to the top of the stretch then weakened in the late stages.
