DRIVE TRAIN settled in the three path around the first turn, trailed up the backstretch, exited the backstretch in the two path, made progress while angling out on the far turn, entered the stretch in the five path, flew late from outside and got up in time. WHATS THE BUZZ accelerated to the front and led early in the two path, dueled outside a rival up the backstretch, led between runners early on the far turn, put KLINKERBRICK away past the five-sixteenths pole but still had to contend with FACTORY DRIVE to the outside, battled with that rival down the lane holding a slim advantage, took a bump late and got nailed in the closing moments. FACTORY DRIVE stalked the top pair from outside, bid three deep on the far turn, dueled outside WHATS THE BUZZ past the five-sixteenths pole, fought head to head down the lane, drifted in and bumped late and came up short in the end. KLINKERBRICK raced up close along the rail then dueled from inside, fought inside a pair of rivals early on the far turn, failed to keep up around that bend, chased a bit off the rail into the lane and kept on through the final furlong for a minor award. CHASIN A DOLLAR traveled along the inside off the pace, angled off the fence on the far turn, raced outside a pair of rivals in the four path exiting that bend and failed to menace. CAUSE FOR DIVORCE tracked four then three wide early, coaxed along up the backstretch, raced two wide around the far turn while losing ground and faded down the lane. YELLOW JACKET tracked from inside, fell out of range on the far turn and tired. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE INCIDENT BETWEEN WHATS THE BUZZ AND FACTORY DRIVE LATE IN THE STRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT FACTORY DRIVE INITIATATED THE CONTACT WITH WHATS THE BUZZ AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
