Chart notes
SAM SEZ bumped with an outer foe at the start, dueled for the lead in the three path, dug in from the four path entering the stretch, inched clear of an outer foe passing the sixteenth pole, and had enough to hold off another late charging outer foe to prevail. JUST A IRISH LAD trailed in the three path, split rivals in the four path passing the quarter, swung out to the seven path at the top of the stretch, rallied into the final furlong, but was too late. TEE BURNS stalked in the five path, ranged up to take a narrow lead passing the quarter, but was repelled by the inner eventual winner down the lane, and flattened in the final sixteenth. WIN FOR FUN bumped with an inner foe at the start, vied for the lead in the four path but yielded in the stretch. STARBURST raced up close along the inside early but weakened. ELIOT NESS chased in the four path but retreated. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
