GROUP EIGHTEEN was fractious in the gate, dueled for the lead two wide into the stretch, was put to right handed urging briefly nearing the furlong marker, surged under a strong hand ride in the final stages and proved best by a narrow margin. STAR SHOPPING battled with the winner along the inside the entire trip and just failed. SLIPPERY WHEN WET stalked the pace and went evenly. SEE SPOT RUN was never close. OILER was through early.
