SOMERSETSLASTRIDE taken in hand from the start, raced close up under a tight hold down the backstretch, was boxed in heading into the far turn to the stretch, went through a seam just past the three-sixteenths marker, was idling for a bit in upper stretch then found best stride late under strong handling and urging to get up. ISLAND CABANA stalked close up three wide to the turn, went on with PINEHURST (IRE) from the five-sixteenths pole and dueled to upper stretch, got the best of that rival with a furlong left, took the led but was overtaken by the winner in the final yards. PINEHURST (IRE) was forwardly placed, dueled with POLIS through moderate fractions down the backstretch, took over the lead at the five-sixteenths and was immediately taken on by ISLAND CABRERA to the outside, battled that foe in upper stretch then gave way grudgingly with a furlong to go. YOU'RE ON MUTE raced mid-pack and two to three wide, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, finished well under steady handling and urging but came up short. NERKY ROSE was hustled from the break but unable to contest early, tracked well behind the pace to the inside, came three wide into the stretch and produced a mild rally to improve. STRUCTURED lacked any early speed, settled well behind to the half, went three to four wide through the far turn then finished well under steady handling. DRINKS AT THE CLUB got caught four to five wide on the first turn, then raced wide with the forward group to the far turn, went four wide through the far turn and into the stretch and finished with some interest but was never a serous threat. PEYTON'S DAY was racing up close early but boxed in going into the far turn owning to the slow pace, finished evenly when clear in the stretch but could not threaten. MUCHO MACHO CAM settled near the back of the pack and lacked a rally. POLIS was coaxed to the front from the break then emerged out of the first turn with a share of the early lead, vied inside to the far turn, took up sharply just past the three furlong pole, lost momentum and could not recover. GUNNY HIGHWAY was rank through the first turn, then raced in cover down the backstretch, was stuck in side while seemingly full of run then did not give a response in the stretch once clear. ONEPARTICULRHARBOR trailed throughout.
