Chart notes
PRINCE OF FAST broke alertly, showed good speed and assumed early command, set the pace from the inside heading to the quarter pole, held a clear lead into the stretch, drifted out while kept to task into the final sixteenth and held for the win in deep stretch. MS. POUNDS tracked the early pace heading to the turn, chased five to six wide to the stretch, responded in the lane and mounted a strong rally to the final sixteenth, could not catch the winner late and held for the place. DISTORTED GUY tracked the early pace heading to the turn, chased four to five wide to upper stretch then tipped out six wide for the drive, closed willingly late and just missed for the place, while getting up in time for the show. SPLISH SPLASH stalked the early pace three wide and between runners, chased into the stretch, stubbornly battled into the final sixteenth, was caught in tight in deep stretch then was outfinished in the final strides. COCOMO MOON chased the pace five then four wide along the turn, no threat in stretch. JESS OBED close up early, raced on a hold while in tight along the turn, chased into the stretch then gave way. MASTER JEWEL CARTEL chased the pace three to four wide then tired in the stretch. THE TRAINER OF SPLISH SPLASH LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST PRINCE OF FAST FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THAT OBJECTION AND RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
