MAGIC BEACH was hustled to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, moved clear late on the backstretch, raced inside on the turn, was asked when challenged inside the three-eighths pole, came off the rail under urging into upper stretch, lost the advantage to the runner-up while drifting out on his inside lead at the furlong marker and weakened while continuing on his inside lead to the finish but just held the show. TOTAL SILENCE bumped with a rival at the start and was off a step slow, settled on the outside, was roused in the five path on the turn, dropped to the four path late on that bend then turned into the stretch in the five path, moved further out in the drive and improved to just miss the show. DRIVE THRU came inward at the start, settled under some urging, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole then moved out, shifted from the rail to the three path on the turn, moved back off the rail in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. NINE N FOUR made light contact with a foe while off a bit slow, settled under some urging, advanced closer late on the backstretch, drafted inside on the turn, was asked at the five-sixteenths pole, shifted to the three path into upper stretch, chased into the final furlong and came up empty. SOL THE FRANK bumped lightly with a foe and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, was urged along at the rear, saved ground on the turn, shifted to the two path outside the quarter-pole and failed to threaten. MAN FROM MALTA was forwardly placed on the outside, brushed with an opponent late on the backstretch, chased in the four then five path on the turn, dropped back in the seven path into the stretch and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
