Chart notes
IRISH MAXIMA broke alertly then was hustled, moved up to get the lead then showed the way, dictated terms while inside to the two path on the turn, responded well when set down in upper stretch, came under a right-handed crop inside the furlong marker and held under strong urging. ST. BENEDICTS PREP moved up then tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, pursued the winner to the finish and showed good courage to get the place. SOCIALLY SELECTIVE broke very fast from the outside post, stalked the pace on the outside of the leader, chased in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, kept on in pursuit of the top two in the stretch and willingly earned the show. SEA DANCER broke a half-step slow, settled off the pace, moved closer outside the five-eighths pole, was roused late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, moved out near the furlong marker and came up empty. OCEAN GATEWAY was last to commence, settled at the rear on the outside, moved closer outside the five-eighths pole, was urged along in the three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the four path and faltered then was eased before being transported off the track via equine ambulance while reported to have bled.
