Chart notes
BANG A RANG battled for the lead two then three wide into the stretch, responded under right handed urging to make the lead late and drew clear under strong handling. MIDNIGHT COUNCIL with the second flight three wide, rallied late five wide and finished second best. MINDSHIP Q set a pressured pace along the inside and was outfinished in the final stages. GRAND BEY with the second flight two wide, checked just past the quarter pole, dropped to the rail, came on again before the furlong marker then faded late. SHORTLY with the second flight inside, veered out to the four path just past the quarter pole, shifted back inward, bid two wide nearing the furlong marker then came up empty. BUCKEYE MIKE vied for the lead three wide into the turn, was shut off past the quarter pole causing his rider to check hard, lost momentum and was eased to the wire. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN BUT TOOK NO ACTION.
