Chart notes
PRINCIPE CARLO broke a step slow, moved up to race behind the pace, in traffic with a half to run, continued inside and waited behind the first flight into the stretch, rail bid with less than a furlong remaining, proved best. MR PUK behind the pace in the two path, shifted out in upper stretch, set down, rallied to earn the place late, could not get the winner. WITHOUT OBJECTION with the pace while between horses, held a narrow advantage between calls into the stretch, headed past the furlong marker, battled back to earn the show while unable to contain the top two. ESPIONAGE with the pace closest to the inside, headed turning for home, regained the advantage in midstretch but was unable to contain the top two late. RUSSIAN TO WIN prompted the issue up front in the four path up the backstretch, vied three wide through the turn, weakened in the drive. EXPRESS CRUISER off slow, raced back while off the inside, three wide into the lane, picked off a couple of tiring rivals while not a serious threat. EL DIABLO ROJO off the pace outside, came four wide for the drive, failed to muster a rally. EYE DEE KAY four wide when off the pace through the turn, tired.
