Chart notes
ELEGANT ECHO close up in the early stages, tracked the pace four wide to the turn, bid four wide nearing the quarter marker, took command into upper stretch and led to the furlong marker, kept to task to the final sixteenth then drew clear into deep stretch. VITA'S SONG assumed early command, set a prompted pace from between runners into the turn, was challenged by ELEGANT ECHO at the quarter marker then battled that rival into upper stretch, fought on from the rail approaching the furlong grounds, could not keep pace with the winner into the final sixteenth and held safely late for the place. EIREANN attended to the pace three wide and between runners into the turn, vied for the lead nearing the quarter marker, battled into the stretch, could not keep pace with the winner into the final sixteenth, was outfinished for the place in deep stretch and was clear of the rest in the end for the show. COMPETITIVE BOND settled away from the start then rushed up inside of rivals, prompted the pace from the rail into the turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker, chased into upper stretch then faded in the final furlong. CHITOZ'S BLUR settled early on while never far back, saved ground to the top of the stretch and lacked a late response. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time available.
