Chart notes
STAR READY went to the front, drove clear, forwardly placed throughout, was collared down the home stretch, shook loose, drove clear again and finished well. CHIEF KIMOSABI lacked early speed, moved up on the outside around the final turn, rallied and was a clear second at the wire. STONE ALLIANCE raced in the middle of the field, made a late inside bid, proved no match for the top two, but got up for third. TAKEOVER FIFTYFOUR showed early speed, raced close throughout and weakened down the final stretch. GAME AND GORMLEY lacked early speed, came around the second turn on the outside, moved up and finished evenly. CANAL ST. CUPID raced within contention, made a bid down the home stretch, faded and was no threat late. PLAY MASTER raced in the back of the pack, moved up, but was never a factor. JIMMIE'S HALO raced evenly near the back, came around the first turn on the outside and was never close. PERFECT STRIKE challenged on the front end, saved ground and dropped back. RUN ON ACES raced near the middle of the pack, retreated and was outrun.
