Chart notes
SECESSION burst clear in the opening yards, dropped in and set a rated pace, responded when shaken up two wide soon into the lane, widened under a drive past mid stretch and was kept busy until the final yards. PURPLE OCTOPUS , fractious in the gate, broke forward despite a bobble, stalked early outside a rival, took closer order mid turn, was under pressure chasing into the stretch, kept on with effort and was well clear for the place. TALLAPOOSA urged off the pace and off the inside into the turn, saved ground into the stretch and finished with some interest. MINIMO , off the pace while saving ground, came two wide into the lane, raced on his left lead past mid stretch and failed to menace. DURANGO CHROME bore out sharply at the break and soundly bumped with SENOR MIKE, straightened and was hustled four wide, came five wide for the drive but lacked a bid. CAPTAIN'S FLAG was hard sent early and chased to the inside of the runner up, came off the rail leaving the far turn, circled four wide into the stretch and faded. SENOR MIKE , jostled at the break, found himself far back after a furlong, saved some ground in upper stretch but failed to get involved.
