Chart notes
SALEEN G T stayed near the inner rail stalking the pace to upper stretch, eased out to the two path near the eighth pole, led late and drove clear. DIAMANTE ELEGANTE sped to the early lead, set the pace along the rail, went clear in upper stretch and gave way grudgingly. DONTGIVEUPTHEFIGHT prompted the pace outside DIAMANTE ELEGANTE, drifted to the three path in upper stretch and weakened. SAPELLO LA FINA chased the pace, came into the stretch in the three path and weakened. TRAVELIN WITCH bobbled at the break, raced in the three path on the turn, was fanned four deep approaching the stretch and weakened. BEACHLEY swung to the four path leaving the turn and gave way.
