Chart notes
SEMPER INVICTUS in the second flight three wide, asked along late turn, roused for the drive, challenged outside the leader with less than a furlong remaining, proved best under continued firm handling. ADVANCED SPIRIT pressed the early leader outside, challenged late in the turn, took over into the lane, edged away past the furlong marker, responded when the winner came calling in the late going, gave ground grudgingly to the wire. TROUBLE'S ROARING behind the leaders along the inside, traffic late in the bend, moved out a bit for the drive, could not match the top two late, finished up best of the rest. DAWN AT NORMANDY broke on top, showed the way up the backstretch inside, dueled with the runner up into the lane then began to gradually weaken. FLYIN PRIVATE in the second flight while outside, four wide through the turn, finished up evenly in lacking a closing kick. FIRE IN MY SUL off a step slow, lagged up the backstretch and into the turn, continued to save ground through the turn, improved without posing a serious threat. HEAVENLYCONVEYANCE made little impact while racing three wide. NYQUIST FREQUENCY void of early foot, remained back to be always outrun. STEAMROLLER off slow, stopped stretch, jogged in.
