COUNT DE MONET vied up front in the two and three path until upper stretch and began to weaken. DUCALE forwardly placed along the inside, shuffled back late in the first turn, settled in mid pack, three wide into the lane, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing punch. DICK BEST set or forced the pace along the inside for six furlongs, had little left for the stretch run. NIP N TUCK broke back, was rank and four wide through much of the first turn, made little impact. FACE VALUE five wide down to four first turn, four wide through the second turn, failed to muster a rally. UNSTABLE PRINCE five wide through the turns when back, failed to rally. D DAY REUNION failed to menace while racing off the inside.
