Chart notes
DEFICIT MAJA was very keen and fought the rider while behind held up just behind the pace, kept to the rail and was let loose with three furlongs to run, took advantage of the rail behind left open turning for home then opened up and held sway to the finish. PURRFECT MOON had good speed from the break and assumed the lead into the first turn, was allowed to set reasonable splits then tried to quicken away on the far turn, came into the stretch a little wide leaving the inside path open, had trouble changing leads but managed to hold the place. GOLD COAST GIRL was not asked for speed from the break then two deep in the third flight with WARRIOR LADY then raced inside of that rival together the rest of the way and got a head in front at the finish. WARRIOR LADY tracked two wide down the backstretch with GOLD COAST GIRL, then shadowed that foe through the far turn and into the stretch, lost a bit of ground when having to check late but surged back and finished near even with the rival at the finish. AUSTIN CITY GIRL tracked three wide through the early stages, came four wide into the lane and was outkicked in the stretch. LUVAHAPPYENDING lagged far behind the rest and never mounted a rally. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN AND THE JOCKEY ON #5 PURRFECT MOON LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #1 DEFICIT MAJA ALLEGING INTERFERENCE. AFTER A QUICK REVIEW THE OBJECTION WAS DENIED AND THE ORIGINAL RESULTS MADE OFFICIAL.
