Chart notes
PRINCE JAMES vied for the early lead, forwardly placed throughout, dueled briefly with WENT WEST down the home stretch and pulled away. SAN JUAN HILL raced near the back in the early going, made a late bid, racing four wide, got by WENT WEST for second, but proved no match for the winner. WENT WEST pressed the pace, came around the turn on the outside, dueled briefly with PRINCE JAMES down the home stretch, weakened and was caught for second. GOLDEN PALACE raced in the middle of the field and put forth an even effort. POMEROY HAZE pressed the early pace briefly, eased back, improved position, but was no factor. CAJUN CYCLONE dueled on the front end, saved ground around the turn and faded. JEB'S LUCKY EIGHT always raced near the back and showed little. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
