ISLAND GOLD unhurried in the early going, moved up on the inside around the final turn, angled out, made a rally down the home stretch and drove clear before the wire. STEPHANIE'S MARIA vied for the early lead, saved ground, dueled down the home stretch, proved no match late for the winner, but was a clear second. CONGRATULERA raced near the back in the early part, came around the second turn on the outside, made a wide gain and finished willingly. BROADWAY PEARL bobbled, steadied early and was never a threat. QUITE THE CATCH broke in, raced within contention, faded and was no threat late. CHICKIETOWN STAR showed early speed, dropped back and trailed late.
