AUNT IRENE was on a short lead out from the rail, shook off an early bid going up the backstretch, shook free in the far turn and drew off under steady handling. NORTHERN GEM tracked the winner from three wide to bid even going up the backstretch but could not go with that one in the final quarter. FUNTIMEGIRL was five wide in the fist turn while back off the pace, moved up into the lane but could not threaten the top pair. YOGURT stalked the leaders from four wide and lacked a rally. CHARACTER COUNTS stalked the pace along the inside and weakened. SWEET SLEW was not a threat three wide. COZZOLANI failed to offer a bid two and three wide. DEL MAR FLASH followed the early pace from three wide and weakened. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
