ALVARADO CAT shot to the front, drove clear, led throughout and proved the best. GOT ME A CHRYSLER pressed the pace, came around the turn on the outside, made a wide bid, proved no match for the winner, but was best of others. JAMAICAN ME lacked early speed, came around the turn on the outside, finished wide and proved no match for the top two. HARPES HILL pressed the pace, eased back and was no threat late. ALINES VALENTINE raced within contention, saved ground around the turn and faded. BYATHREAD always raced near the back, saved ground around the turn and showed little. K R POWER STORM lacked early speed, trailed late and was outrun.
