Chart notes
MISS JO'S CURLIN pressed from outside, dueled on even terms past the quarter pole, put a head in front in upper stretch, carried a short lead into the final sixteenth and edged clear from the runner-up. TITANIC THOMPSON showed the way early under pressure from MISS JO'S CURLIN to the outside, headed by that rival past the quarter pole, lost command in upper stretch, fought back to the sixteenth pole, then yielded late. MAXVILLE stalked in the two path, asked right handed leaving the turn, failed to summon the needed response but kept on trying for a clear third. BIG NOTION allowed to settle off the speed, traveled along the inside then shifted off the rail at the five-sixteenths pole, angled out in upper stretch but failed to rally. MAGATON MAN chased from off the pace outside a rival, moved into the three path midway around the bend, steered inward in the lane and improved position. SIR TOM stalked along the fence into the turn, was getting out at the quarter pole and weakened down the lane. ROXIIESBADBOY broke out, tracked the top pair outside a pair of rivals and weakened down the lane.
