Chart notes
HEGS raced near the back in the beginning, moved up on the outside around the turn, took the advantage down the home stretch, was collared by SMARTY'S BACK, but prevailed for the win. SMARTY'S BACK lacked early speed, came around the first turn on the outside, moved up on the inside around the final turn, angled to the outside, rallied down the lane, dueled to the wire and was outfinished for the win. STEEN broke out, pressed the pace, weakened and proved no match for the top two. MAGISTRATE raced near the middle of the field, made a bid at the 3/4 pole, weakened and finished evenly. MISCHIEVOUS SMILE challenged on the front end in the early going, saved ground around the final turn and faded. MAX COLLECTOR raced in the middle of the pack, weakened and was no threat late. FILM AT ELEVEN void of early speed and was never close. SOUTHSCAPE brushed at the start, raced within contention and made a steady retreat. U RASCAL U showed early speed, dropped back and was outrun. THE JOCKEY OF #11 SMARTY'S BACK LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #10 HEGS FOR INTERFERENCE IN LATE STRETCH. AFTER VIEWING REPLAYS STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION.
