Chart notes
BEEHIVE broke well and vied for the early lead, was well handled while dueling outside of FRANKEL BABY into the turn, disputed a decent pace with that rival to the quarter marker, shook free into the stretch then drove clear into the final furlong, kept to task into the final sixteenth and held safely in deep stretch over the oncoming runner-up. SALLY'S SUPRISE allowed to settle in the early stages, saved ground into the turn then weaved through traffic into upper stretch, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was clear of the rest for second. YAMILE'S broke out a step at the start, tracked the early pace three deep approaching the turn, tucked in and tracked two wide along the bend, tipped three wide for the drive and ran in pursuit to mid-stretch, could not match strides with the top pair into the final sixteenth and held safely late for the show. DEVIL tracked the early pace from outside of runners, settled into the turn then three wide nearing the quarter marker, chased four wide into the stretch, lacked a late response and gave way. FRANKEL BABY stumbled at the start, rushed up along the inside and dueled for the lead into the turn, contested a decent pace to the quarter pole, could not keep pace into the stretch and faded in the lane.
