Chart notes
LAST MANGO got bumped at the start by SOLVE THE PUZZLE, who broke in a step, chased three then two wide and was under a firm left handed grip into the turn when appearing to want to get out a bit, came under coaxing at the three-eighths, angled six wide into upper stretch, rallied to stack outside a trio heads apart a furlong from home, seized command near the sixteenth pole, then edged away to the finish kept to task. GOOD MISSION six paths off the inside early on, chased four the three wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, angled five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive between foes a furlong out, ran on to secure the place honors. CAJUNETTE coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand just off the inside down the backstretch and then along the inside through the turn coming under urging with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat from a trio of rivals stacked across the track and brushed SOLVE THE PUZZLE at that station, yielded the front near the sixteenth marker and kept on to preserve the show honors. SOLVE THE PUZZLE broke in a step at the start bumping LAST MANGO, chased three then two wide ridden along nearing the quarter pole, tipped four wide into upper stretch between rivals, dug in under a drive prominent to the eighth pole when brushed by CAJUNETTE, then weakened in the very late stages. LUMENIQUE got away last and was hustled from the gate, chased along the inside down the backstretch before tipping three wide through the turn, got pushed along at the three-eighths marker, spun three then two wide into upper stretch, made ground up the rail in the late going but ultimately trailed throughout.
